WAA.

listening to::
Creation Worships, the live praise music recorded at Creation music festival

best thing i heard all day::
Reese Roper, lead singer for Five Iron Frenzy is speaking at the Thursday chapel service on October 9th, 2003, the day of their concert at GCC
the best of times::
-today i slept late. BAND CAMP IS OVER! it was fun, but tiring.
-i rode with some band people in Dave's awesome conversion van to Wal*Mart and the Grove City Outlets. that van is definitely plush. i got to have the whole fold-down-bed to myself. it was sweet.
-we played for the beginning of Freshmen Orientation. the really only sweet part about was, of course Mrs. Paxton's obligitory red dress and excitement that could merit "cartwheels on rollerblades". and even better was playing our arrangment of the Who's "Pinball Wizard". oh wow. that is a rockin song.
-we had enough time to play some serious frisbee. Kyle and i enjoy scouting freshmen for the Blackhawks. there's some really good ones out there.
-today i hung out with Adam Bloom and Abe a bunch. they're quality guys. Pat joined us and we had some quality talks in Abe's room. then we went to Ketler Rec and played some real crazy games. remind one of us to show you how to play Crazy PingPong. it's awesome.
-my car is full for rides to Hillcrest Presbyterian Church tomorrow morning. it's great. i love driving. i love Jesus. they just go so well together.
the blurst of times::
-i was woke up by Becca Waskey yelling "HEEERE'S ERIC!! HE'S IN ROOM 211!!!!" yes, the OB girls were helping the freshmen guys move into their rooms this morning. what a lovely thing to wake up to.
-i think i have a "dry socket". at least that's what Jenna said it sounded like. she said she had one when she got her wisdom teeth out, and it hurt a bunch. my lower-right jaw hurts and is swollen a little. i really hope it doesn't hurt tomorrow, or i'm definitely going to the dentist Monday.
-okay, so we're playing frisbee, and some crazy freshman rams into the back of me and knocks me over after a catch. then i'm going for another catch, and after i catch it i'm bowled over by the same dude. as i go down, jumps on my right big toe. so i play for a couple more minutes, but decide to go sit down and watch. on the way over to the sidewalk, i somehow get a couple shards of glass stuck in the same foot. man...that was irritating. anyways, my toe still hurts. stupid toe.
AIM exerpt for the night::

QuadriplegicLad (10:16:15 PM): i had too much sharpie fumage tonight

Auto response from gstreet4life (10:16:15 PM): in Ketler Rec hanging out...come find us...

gstreet4life (11:14:50 PM): oh wow

Auto response from QuadriplegicLad (11:14:50 PM): lookin for brian at ketler

gstreet4life (11:14:54 PM): yaaaay
gstreet4life (11:15:00 PM): best away message ever.
gstreet4life (11:39:37 PM): aw
gstreet4life (11:39:38 PM): it's gone
QuadriplegicLad (11:39:44 PM): yeah
QuadriplegicLad (11:39:46 PM): sorry
QuadriplegicLad (11:39:58 PM): dont want to boost your ego too much
gstreet4life (11:40:04 PM): aw...crap for crap
QuadriplegicLad (11:40:22 PM): hehe
gstreet4life (11:40:54 PM): but i'm still posting that in my blog tonight
gstreet4life (11:41:00 PM): because it was the best ever
gstreet4life (11:41:05 PM): EVER!

back to the old routine
i used to post differently when i was at school. i'll try that again.

listening to::
Tunnel Rats twenty-o-two ...in a rap mood. i'm listening to Sev_Statik

And Now::
on break from band. it's one pm, and i have to be back at one-fifteen. so this is gonna be short.
band is great so far. i got real sunburned today, so i'm using Travis Bachelder's method of putting a scarf in my hat to cover my neck. it's good stuff. i wish i hadn't forgotten my sombrero. many people were sad to find out i had forgot it. anyways, band is going well. yesterday was the first full day of band camp, and we learned all of our first show. today we're learning number two; and tomorrow number three. our schedule has been severe. we have fifteen-and-a-half hours of scheduled activites every day. that's almost ten hours of practice. wow. my lips are out of shape. i hadn't played since the end of marching season last year. yikes. anyway, make sure you come see us this year. it'll be great. especially the freakin crazy diamond moves in the Westside Story Finale at the end our first show.

And Later::
more and more practice. hopefully i'll get more time to post later.
peace.

lost wallet, last stitches, 2/3 lb of angus, wishfull thinking, crazy mini-golf, Bob Smith Auto on fire, suped LTD, crabs, and everybody thinks we're drunk.
yeah, that's right, all in one day. oh, and there's a bunch a girls i don't know sleeping in my house.

"come on over to my house,
girls!
come on over to my house
ladies! ladies!"
-strongbad

alright, i've just gotten home from Nick's house. it's 1:17am. i walk in and the TV is blaring, and there's like 7 little girls i don't know asleep on my living room floor. actually, wait, i know her. and her. these are friends of my sister. i believe she had her birthday party with her friends tonight. her real birthday was in April. she's just been too busy to have a swimming/sleepover party since then. wow.

"all around the mulberry bush"
the monkey chased the weasel
the monkey thought it was all in fun
*** goes the weasel"
-british people

aaaaaaaaaanyway, so went to work at 9. like usual. it was pretty boring today, i only sold $1800 of merchandise today. not much interesting happened today. oh, but i found a sweet deal on an MTS (Mechanics Tools Set) 100 peice set. it was normally $100, but i got it on sale for $40. and i bought a bigger tool box. because heck, you can always use a bigger tool box. oh, so yesterday i lost my wallet. i don't realize it until i'm waaaaay the heck out at Nick's house and out of gas. we make it back to town, and Claire lets me borrow $5to get a little in the tank. she definitely wants it back. man...all ingrateful for giving her a ride. ah well. today i searched my car for it before work, at work, and on my lunch break. right before i go back to work and after my mom and i have searched the house and anywhere else it might be, i happen to notice a pen sticking out from under my seat. i hadn't noticed it before, so i looked under there....where i promise i had already looked three times. so anyway, the wallet is there. i'm relieved, and so are the five other people that i called and asked if i left it at their house.
did you know that British people call the wallet/billfold the 'weasel'?
i think that's greater than most things.

the last straw...er...stitch::

i had another check up on my wisdom teeth today. he took out the last stitch (which proved to be the most annoying thing about having out your wisdom teeth), and then he released me to eat whatever i want. so, of course, i go straight to Hardee's to get one of those ThickBurgers(TM) that i've been wanting for like three weeks now. oh man, those things are real great. mmmm...i got the 2/3 pound pattie. man, that thing is beefy. gotta love the Angus. on the way back to work, i stopped in at Talbot Lawn and Cycle (oh yeah, those of you that know Talbot Lawn and Cycle...isn't it real hard to believe they have a website?) anyway, i ended up talking to the one dude longer than i wanted to. he agrees with Jared and his dad that if i want to get into streetbikes, i should definitely try to jump into a 600 instead of a 500. i'm interested mostly in the Honda 600RR, which is real wicked awesome.

Big Mario's for the second time this week::

we (Jared and I) met Kaitlin, Lisa, and Sandy/Sandie/Sandee/Sandra at Big Mario's in Trappe. we played some sweet action minigolf because, of course, i mean: who would go all the way down to Trappe (i really mean: check out that pic of the post office on the homepage for Trappe, MD) for the batting cages or the pizza? not i, said the blind man. anyway, no stroke limit and 30 stroke penalty for a drop mixed with mine and Jared's propensity to attempt to drive the ball from the back 9 through the packing lot and onto route 50 (wow, he really did hit it last time we played), and you get a freakin crazy game. oh man oh man oh man. but not quite as good as ALL TERRAIN BOCCE, which, because of it's great majesty ("check out all his majesty"-strongbad), should always be named in bold and italicized letters.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnyway::

i'm getting to that point where you're so tired you get hungry and it feels like your stomach is eating it's own lining away because you won't give it any food and then you just go get some food anyway even though you know your mom always told you not to eat after midnight because it would give you indigestion.

which reminds me::

i was standing in the stock room of Sears trying to cram my Hardee's ThickBurger(TM) down my throat so i could get back to work (since i was already late) and kindly old Mrs. Vanetta walks in and says, "oh honey, go sit down while you eat or you'll get indigestion." i thought that was pretty good advice, so i did.
aaaaaaaanyway, again::

even though you never would have known, being as you are not here watching me type, i feel like informing everyone that in the middle of that last sentance i took a break to go microwave some General Tso's Chicken, the best darn thing on the face of the earth. and in the middle of THAT sentance i actually took another break because the microwave was beeping real loud and some of the girls sleeping in the living room woke up.

slowly, i AM coming to a point::

sort of. anyway, i had more crap to talk about, like::
-->Bob Smith Automotive (The GM Giant) being on fire, and having to detour through Easton while trying to lead Jared in the Firebird and Lisa, Kaitlin, and Sandy/Sandie/Sandee/Sandra in the Crystler convertible to Nick's house.
-->and also: racing a kid in what looked like a sooped-up LTD from 0-110mph, and of course, keeping him a car length behind at all times.
-->and also: eating crabs at Nick's house, Claire discovering the Vas Defrens in the crab--"it's so long!" *amazement* then Mrs. Kunkle couldn't stop laughing.
-->and also: taking over Nick's computer after everybody left, and chatting with people i don't know, changing the font size while Nick was typing......all of these things make people think Nick is drunk. i'm serious, five different people asked if he was, but he wasn't. i'm so much better than being drunk, aren't i?
but now::
i must sleep. gotta mow the yard before work, and then work all day, then go to Denton to Springfest to see Katy play bass for the first concert ever. ooh, and then i pack for school. i leave Saturday afternoon.
WAA.

he never should have let me
ride his bike. oh man.

oh man oh man oh man::
alright, so i'm at Jared's house. he knows i'm interested in getting a bike. he knows i've had prior experience on dirtbikes and junk, but not too much on the street other than riding with my dad. first, he takes me out on his bike (2003 Kawasaki Ninja 500R) for a spin. he doesn't really hit it until we get way on the back roads, then it's major fun. we go back, he asks me if i wanna try. we make sure i remember how to do stuff, then he lets me ride up and down his drive. it takes me about 5 seconds to get used to it, and then i'm off. oh man, that thing is quick. it goes like stink. if you know how long Galloway Run is, well, i got it up to 80mph and back down to 0 in less then 3/4 of the road. and i wasn't pushing it at all. i was afraid of wheelie-ing, since i hadn't ever rode a sportbike before, so i never got it above 4000rpm.......and the redline is 10,500rpm i think. wow. now, i have to have one. i've decided. j-Funk and i are now constantly ogling over morotcycle websites and auctions and the brochures he picked up from Talbot Lawn and Cycle. mmm...i'll have to go in there tomorrow.

both he and his dad told me i should get a 600 at least, because they have tons more horsepower and weight less with the same size frame, so they would be better. but that's sort of scary to me. i mean, i have only rode dirtbikes and mini bikes for a long time, and i think i could have tons of fun on just a 500. i don't wanna go too big and hurt myself or lay the bike down or something. anyway, they say that everybody just buys the 500s as starter bikes and then they get tired of them. j-Funk is looking into getting probably a Honda 600 or 900 by the end of next year. he said that if i get my motorcycle license, he'll let me borrow his bike while i'm learning. oh man. i want to take the test tomorrow. hehe...he says i could probably pass it. oh man, i wish i had the money to buy a bike.

wow, i think that's good enough to stand in as a title of a blog post.

the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution::
these cars are, in the words of a New York-ian, wicked awesome. any car with over 200 horsepower out of an inline 4-cylinder in pretty sweet action, but street racers based on world rally cars (wrc.com) can have over 300 hp, like the new Subaru Imprezza WRX STi (standard: 300 HP and 300 lb-ft of torque) is totally sweet like ninjas. but anyway, the new Mitsu Evo 8 is prettier. and less expensive. plus, if you get one, there's not much other than change the color that you would want to do to trick it out. i mean...they come fully tricked. mmmmmmmmmm...let's review the great features of the Evo 8::
2.0 litre, 1997cc inline-4 DOHC, 16 valve engine.
2 nozzle manual/automatic intercooler
twin-scroll turbine turbocharger with 19psi boost @3500rpm, 16psi@6500rpm
271 horsepower @ 6500rpm
273 lb.-ft. torque @ 3300rpm
7000rpm redline
All Wheel Drive
5-speed manual transmission w/ short-throw shifter
the tightest stinkin suspension you could want
5" ground clearance
carbon fiber wing
HID lights
performance tuned exhaust
17"x8" 6-spoke rims, Yokohama tires
Recaro racing seats ready for 4/5-point harness
sunroof
beautiful exterior
swank interior
a speedometer that goes up to 170mph
mmm...i'm not obsessed. maybe.

hondatwincam
yes, plan on lots of links this time. i'm bored enough to put a mess of 'em in here. anyway, that makes it all interactive and fun for ya'll.

today i went over to Nick's after work. Claire and i were supposed to go with Nick and his dad crabbing. it was raining, so we elected not to go out on the boat. ah well, maybe next week. anyway, we ended up just hanging out and eatin pizza and burgers. Jesse (Nick's brother's friend, who, in my observation, seems to live at Nick's house more than Nick's brother) came over after a while to put some ripped junk on Nick's new comp. Claire was obviously boreded to death by our computer junk, and left after a while. anyway, Jesse and i ended up just watching Nick play Starcraft for like a freakin forever, then we went outside, and i stared at Jesse's car --> for a while while we talked about Zelda: Windwaker and Super Smash Bros: Melee for Gamecube. after a while, we listened to Jesse's car as he drove out of Fike's orchard. we heard him using the sweet action V-TEC engine on route 50 all the way from Nick's house. man...can i have one of those?

talking to Jesse at Nick's house tonight, i remembered this conversation we had with Jesse one of the many times Nick was logged on his AIM at my house:

NinnjaBuck (2:49:06 PM): did Andy tell you about the car?
hondatwincam (2:49:34 PM): about what car?
NinnjaBuck (2:49:52 PM): his new one
NinnjaBuck (2:49:53 PM): he bought one
hondatwincam (2:50:01 PM): wha?
hondatwincam (2:50:05 PM): no... what?
NinnjaBuck (2:50:06 PM): yeah, the new SE-R
hondatwincam (2:50:10 PM): WTF?
hondatwincam (2:50:12 PM): ew
hondatwincam (2:50:18 PM): tell me you're joking
NinnjaBuck (2:50:29 PM): no
NinnjaBuck (2:50:37 PM): he said he made the other one his experiment
NinnjaBuck (2:50:42 PM): sorry
NinnjaBuck (2:50:48 PM): maybe he was keeping it from you for a reason
NinnjaBuck (2:50:49 PM): :-\
NinnjaBuck (2:50:50 PM): hehe
hondatwincam (2:50:52 PM): eh, i guess it's cool
hondatwincam (2:51:04 PM): i don't have a high opinion of the new SE-R, but then again
NinnjaBuck (2:51:11 PM): yeah, you are devoutedly Honda, aren't you?
hondatwincam (2:51:12 PM): i've never driven or ridden ino ne
NinnjaBuck (2:51:16 PM): oh, gotcha
hondatwincam (2:51:23 PM): and yes, i am devoutly honda =)
hondatwincam (2:51:27 PM): Hondas rule
hondatwincam (2:51:31 PM): i love my honda
hondatwincam (2:51:36 PM): i love working on my honda

sometimes i just don't know why

okay, so i put mysself in a most confused position. it's a place that i want to be in, and, at the same time, don't have a clue why i got here.sometimes somehting that feels so good canbe the something other than right. do you ever... no. nevermind.
i said don't worry about it, it's not your problem. plus, i don't want to talk about it anymore. i said i'm pulling myself out, so i'm doing it.

i think.

Wisdom Teeth Out = peice of cake
for real, i don't know what people cry about. actually, i think i had it a lot better than anybody i've ever seen... never had any pain, just soreness a bit. and i didn't swell up as much as other people i've seen. so that was real nice.

what's up::

gstreet4life (8:08:15 PM): i'm sitten with a guitar
PogChamp83 (8:09:42 PM): sweeeeeet
gstreet4life (8:11:16 PM): yup
gstreet4life (8:11:23 PM): i was playing outside, but the bugs suck
gstreet4life (8:12:14 PM): well.. they are mosquitos, you know.
PogChamp83 (8:12:20 PM): lol
PogChamp83 (8:12:21 PM): yeah
PogChamp83 (8:12:26 PM): they do suck
gstreet4life (8:12:43 PM): yeah.... your blood.

mmm...it's been a while since i've included an AIM convo...
i think it's time for some Nuck Hankler action::

gstreet4life (12:17:52 AM): all hungry and junk.: oh yeah
NinnjaBuck (12:17:54 AM): I got some M&Ms. : ah yeah
gstreet4life (12:17:59 AM): i can't eat em yet
NinnjaBuck (12:18:07 AM): you could swallow them whole
gstreet4life (12:18:09 AM): yeah
gstreet4life (12:18:14 AM)
: that might be fun
NinnjaBuck (12:18:14 AM): like pills
gstreet4life (12:18:17 AM): i'll try it
gstreet4life (12:18:20 AM): see you later
gstreet4life (12:18:38 AM): and if i choke and die, i guess not see you later
gstreet4life (12:18:50 AM)
: bye
NinnjaBuck (12:18:53 AM): yeah, and if you do, make sure you delete this convo and all before you do
gstreet4life (12:18:59 AM): nope,  i'm going to leave it on the screen
NinnjaBuck (12:19:17 AM): and put it in your info and all over your room?
NinnjaBuck (12:19:18 AM): blast
gstreet4life (12:19:20 AM): so the investigators can use it as evidence
gstreet4life (12:19:33 AM)
: that's right
gstreet4life (12:19:36 AM)
: you're already caught
gstreet4life (12:19:40 AM)
: you might as well give upnow
NinnjaBuck (12:19:43 AM): crap... I know
NinnjaBuck (12:19:51 AM): I don't think you even have to choke on anything to convict me now
NinnjaBuck (12:19:52 AM): chite
gstreet4life (12:19:54 AM): that's right
gstreet4life (12:20:00 AM)
: see, we got you
gstreet4life (12:20:07 AM)
: right now your house is already surrounded
NinnjaBuck (12:20:08 AM): I can hear them coming now
gstreet4life (12:20:14 AM): just come out with your hands up
gstreet4life (12:20:48 AM)
: before swat drops in on a helicopter through your skylights and bust a cap in your um..face
NinnjaBuck (12:21:12 AM): yeah, good thing I have a gun for shooting down police helicopters sold to me at the local 7-11
gstreet4life (12:21:18 AM): nice
NinnjaBuck (12:21:34 AM): yeah, I tried it out though--it only shoots pizza wraps
gstreet4life (12:21:43 AM): oh man, that's way better
NinnjaBuck (12:22:02 AM): yeah, they'll eat it and dive of high cholestoral
gstreet4life (12:22:02 AM): does it shoot the go-go-taquitos too?
NinnjaBuck (12:22:07 AM): heck yeah
NinnjaBuck (12:22:09 AM): it has the works
gstreet4life (12:22:12 AM): oh man oh man oh man
gstreet4life (12:22:16 AM)
: can i get one of those?
NinnjaBuck (12:22:22 AM): yeah, 7-11 I said!
gstreet4life (12:22:25 AM): how much?
NinnjaBuck (12:22:29 AM): only if you get these police out of my house
gstreet4life (12:22:37 AM): alright, i'll call 'em off
NinnjaBuck (12:22:41 AM): sweet
gstreet4life (12:22:47 AM): oh wait, too late.
gstreet4life (12:22:55 AM)
: they already killed you, they say
gstreet4life (12:23:00 AM)
: wait
gstreet4life (12:23:03 AM)
: what's your address?
NinnjaBuck (12:23:20 AM): heh, they went to Micky Ruttle's house
NinnjaBuck (12:23:23 AM): the sorry sap
gstreet4life (12:23:47 AM): OH CRAP! i told them not to trust the phone book
gstreet4life (12:23:56 AM)
: alright, well, you win anyway
gstreet4life (12:24:05 AM)
: and i get a pizza wrap shooter
gstreet4life (12:24:08 AM)
: so basically i win too
NinnjaBuck (12:24:23 AM): yeah...
gstreet4life (12:24:26 AM): and *BONUS* i didn't have to choke and die on M&Ms
NinnjaBuck (12:24:35 AM): good deal... yet....
gstreet4life (12:24:38 AM): right
gstreet4life (12:24:43 AM)
: ....wait a second
NinnjaBuck (12:24:47 AM): depends on if you want it upgraded
gstreet4life (12:24:50 AM): haha
gstreet4life (12:24:57 AM)
: oh man, i'm real hungry now
gstreet4life (12:24:59 AM)
: later du
NinnjaBuck (12:25:02 AM): get food man
NinnjaBuck (12:25:06 AM): lates nigroid
gstreet4life (12:25:09 AM): ouch
NinnjaBuck (12:25:15 AM): haha, su'um
gstreet4life (12:25:19 AM): but i am leaving this conversation on the screen, just in case
NinnjaBuck (12:26:14 AM): yeah, but remember, you choke on Ravioli or whatever, it's your own fault...
NinnjaBuck (12:26:52 AM): aight, I'm off to poop... bbl

and that's the best way i can think to end any conversation: "aight, I'm off to poop... bbl" oh. i love it. every minute.

argh! stinky pete and curtain cheese!! ::
there is not much more irritating than the way Jordan always messages me and gets offline before i can reply.

on a better note::
i finally talked to Ains tonight . a nice long phone conversation.

a definite plus::
i graduated from milkshakes, vanilla pudding, and applesauce to mashed potatoes, chicken noodle soup, ice cream, and a little meatloaf.
