http://www.help-me-im-bleeding-to-death-on-top-of-a-mountain-because-a-bear-attacked-me-and-my-friends-cant-signal-the-rescue-plane.com
okay...so the uh...website thing is from church the other day when i told them about my dream of being eaten by a bear, and then we were talking about ways of communication--like how to signal a rescue plane. somebody--i think Matt--came up with the website idea.

anyways::
so, if you haven't been keeping up with my personal life (not that i expect you to. in fact, if you did, that would probably be real weird.), i've been at my Dad's house in Texas for almost a week now, and we leave today for our annual vacation to the Brummell's Rocky Mountain Lodge on the Conejos River in southern Colorado.

mmm...time for some REAL summer vacation to start. oh yeah, baby. we go up there with most of my step-mom's family to do some hiking/fishing/out-door sporting/family-get-together-ing/maybe some horsey-riding/four-wheeling (hopefully)/sight seeing/and just general relaxing. i can't wait, and neither can anybody else.

what i've accomplished this week::
1. mowing the yards -- this is one of the most irritating things you can do in West Texas for two reasons. first, there's so much dust on the ground that you practically need to wear an oxygen mask to breathe. second, in the middle of mowing the yard, you realize--"wait a second, why the heck am i mowing? it's not like we have grass!" haha. and you think i'm kidding, don't you. well, come and see.
2. finding a baby bird in the street -- i saw it while i was mowing. how was i supposed to know that if you pick them up, the mother won't take them back?? now i feel bad. sorry, baby bird. i only meant to help! anyway, the bird was real cool. it just let me pick it up and hold it for a while. it didn't even car, and when i was going to put it back in the tree, it flew away.
3. moving over a ton of scrap metal -- my brother and i got paid by my dad to hook the big trailer, pick up all the scrap metal we could find behind Papa's shops, and take it to the scrap yard. that was pretty cool. it was 2,430 pounds, if i remember correctly. the big tractor thing that picked up all the stuff reminded me and my brother of one of those arcade games where you have the claw and you're supposed to pick up the fluffy toys......ahh...those were the days. man, now that i remember, i'm real good at those games. i should go play one. mmm.. ANYWAY
4. helping Dad with the new storage building -- last time i was here we set the concrete slab for the new 15'x25' storage building. Dad framed the walls since i was gone, and this week i helped him put up the plywood and insulation. this is gonna be the sweetest storage building ever. you know it.
5. buying a video game with the money from the scrap metal -- Brandon and i bought Midnight Club II for xbox, which is probably the sweetest street racing game ever. hmm...except for Rush 2. i wish they would bring that one back...or make one for xbox. oh man.
6. buying another video game without the money from the scrap metal -- Brandon and i also bought GTA: Vice City for my computer. hmm. for some reason, we've been really into cars lately. collectively we have a bunch racing/car games. Midnight Club II, GTA: Vice City, Project Gotham Racing, Sega GT, Rush 1 and 2, Moto GP 2, Pro Race Driver, Colin McRae Rally 3.0....wow... oh, and we also went car shopping in the mall the other day for no reason. there's a Mitsubishi dealer in the mall, and we wanted to see if they had any nice Lancers. they only had the coupe version, so it wasn't as great as on Sega GT...hehe.. oh man, we like this too much.
7. eating a heck of a lot of mexican food -- from Taco Villa to Rosa's to Jalisco's!!! Woooooweeeeee!! gotta love it.
8. getting soaked by some girl -- so, i'm helping out with my dad's cub scouts game night....there's a water balloon toss going on, and i'm picking up the balloon remains, comepletely not involved. this crazy girl (one of the cub scouts sisters) starts attacking me with balloons. oh man, i didn't even do anything, and she got me with 2 (along with 3 other foiled attempts at an ambush. we got in the car and Brandon and i were wondering why she started going after me. i told him that's how some girls flirt. he said "well, when you're that good looking, you just have to expect the ladies to pick on you!" wow. i love that kid. hahahahahahahaha
9. sleeping on the couches -- instead of sleeping in our beds, Brandon and i decided to play video games every night until about 2am and then fall asleep on the couches in the living room. Sharon didn't like that too much.
okay...i hafta go now. everybody just got home with lunch (from Rosa's, oh yeah!)
i'll post after i get back to my mom's house! weeeeeeeeeee Cooooooollllloooooorrrrrraaaaaaddaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

oh, and by the way... KYLE, I WAS AT YOUR HOUSE LAST WEEK WHEN YOU WROTE LIKE A 15 PAGE POST, AND YOU STILL HAVEN'T PUBLISHED IT....the world is waiting!!!

alright, kids, adios!

fireworks from the roof, rachel locked out, and i still need to pack
i leave tomorrow for Texas. my plane leaves at 8:55am. we're leaving the house at 6:30am. i'm getting up at 5:30am. right now it's12:53am. i don't know why i'm still on here.

earlier tonight::
we watched the fireworks from the roof of Sears. that was sweet action. first there was the stupid carnival thing on the VFW grounds. i'm like two houses from the VFW place, so of course we had to at least visit a bit. i picked Nick up from work, and we walked around to get Allison and go back to my house for burgers, but we ended up finding all these people that wanted to come with us, but that i didn't want to feed. i had told my parents that there would only be Jared and Nick coming over, so i made them promise not to eat anything if they came over...haha. there were some real young looking girls that kept following Nick and me around, asking us if we wanted to dunk some cheerleaders in the dunking booth. the girl that had serious trouble keeping herself in her bikini top was like: "come on, you know you want to dunk some cheerleaders..." and Nick was like: "jailbait! jailbait!" and i was like: "hurry, we can sneak away over here!" oh man...whatever. anyway, i had forgotten that Tony was coming over too, so he was there when we got back--along with Judy (mom's friend) and her nephews and one of their girlfriends. they were staying with Judy for the night, so we ended up dragging them along with us so they didn't just have to sit in my backyard.

we ended up wandering around the VFW grounds for a while, and finding more of the people that we were supposed to meet up with before the fireworks. Claire and Lisa came with us, but Kaitlin, her boyfriend, and Sandy didn't want to come or something. we ended up sneaking off to get away from the crowds, and after a few minutes getting food at my house, we somehow piled into two cars and a motorcycle (well, just Jared rode his motorcyle....because...well, i guess you can't really pile people onto a streetbike and expect to get anywhere.). we drove to Sears and went up the ladder outside the back to get to the roof. it was pretty sweet up there, although everybody kept asking me if we were allowed to be up there. i told them that i hadn't asked Mr. Carroll, but i asked his nephew, who works with me, and he said that they usually watch them from on the roof, so it would probably be okay. at first the fireworks were being shot off closer to where we started, so everybody was wondering if we really did have a better spot on the roof. but...after a while the big fireworks started, and we had way closer seats than anybody on the VFW grounds or my parents in my backyard. plus we were up high, which is pretty sweet. plus we were on the roof, which is just cool because of the novelty of it all. anyway, it turned out to be a great show.

afterward, the traffic was horrible. everybody from everywhere in Talbot County must have been in the area that we were in, because the streets were full, and nobody was moving. there were a bunch of dumb hicks that were parked right in front of Sears, and they kept revving their engines and honking their horns for about 15 minutes. this one guy was power-braking, and smoked up the road for a couple of minutes. it was real dumb, and we yelled at them a bunch. Jared and i regretted not bringing the three-person water balloon launcher. after that, we all came down, but didn't leave because the traffic was so bad. we just hung out behind the shopping center, and some of the guys beat each other with carboard and crap like that. we had Jared go out on his bike and check the traffic a couple of times, but it was too busy everytime. after almost an hour, i went around and it looked like nobody was in the streets. i was about to come back and pick up everybody when i saw Casey's mom. she looked like she was looking for Casey in the wrong place and didn't look like she was very happy. i told her where she was, and then Casey left with her mom. everybody piled in, and we took everybody home for the most part.

we were supposed to watch a movie afterward, but it was already almost 11pm, i hadn't started packing yet, and Rachel needed to call somebody to unlock her car. Jared stayed with Rachel and me while we waited for her parents to contact the Hundai service people, so we watched some Strong Bad emails. after a while Jared left, and after a while more, the pop-a-lock guy came. he opened the door within about 20 seconds, and then left, as did Rachel.

which leaves me where i am now::
it's now 2:12am. i actually just went out and cleaned out my car. i don't really know why i did that. it certainly wasn't necessary for me to fly on the plane tomorrow. err...today... or later this morning. argh. i should be asleep. ah well. i love being awake. it's so great.

so right, as usual, i'm waiting until the last possible moment to pack my bags. somehow, i never forget anything. anything. let me tell you, man--i've done some serious packing in my days. oh yeah. all this travelling and crap, and i'm like de-sensitized to the fact that i have little/no time to sit around and be on the computer when i should be sleeping (or...uh...packing.)

tomorrow::
OH CRAP!@!! i just remembered that my mini-DV camcorder is still at church! awww....man, when am i going to get that? ah!!

anyway, back to tomorrow:: ....wait...
i mean later today::
...uh...later this morning::
i fly out to Tejas. oh man, oh man. i can't wait. i've been missing it all summer. this has been my first summer without being in Texas for at least two months. after a few days of chillen with the fam and friends, we'll drive up to Colorado for some sweet hiking/fishing/camping/scenery-ing/family-ing/relaxing time. ah...a well earned vacation. mmmmmm....

okay, i'm going to eat a hot pocket now. i'll post more later or in a few days. g'night. i mean...g'morning.
