so...coooooold

listening to::
my roomate mumbling in his sleep. he just said something that sounds like "mmmm....maaaaashed potatoes eat father nummm engo plastic". once i had a conversation with him, but not this time. that's just too weird for me to touch.

and now::
why is it snowing again? it doesn't make too much sense. the giant snowball on the quad is gone, therefore i don't want to see another flake of snow until late November. also, it sure would be fine with me if it warmed back up to 65 again. last week was beautiful.

lets do the weekend in reverse order--Sunday::
i am here on the bench i took from Calderwood, my loyal Neuch at my side. actaully he's on the couch, but that is to my right. he's been doing weird things on his computer. he said he was going to work, but i seriously doubt that any work he was getting done is for a class that you can get credit for at GCC. before that i was at the library with Boerckel. we studied/worked on hw from after dinner till midnight, breaking for Bible study. it was a good one, as usual. i got chills. it happened when Jenna read Mark 15:33-41. the part that gave me chills was the part where the curtain tears in two. that's just such an amazing thing for us. by taking all of the sins of the world upon his blameless and pure body, and bearing them in the most painful death that they could come up with, he made the ultimate sacrifice, which made it possible for us to relate to the Lord without an intermediary preist or sacrifices. Hebrews 10, especially verses 19-23, has some amazing things to say about this. i'll let you read it for yourself.
after dinner i went with Andrea, Kistin, and Jennifer down Rainbow Bridge to chase the geese around. oh boy, that was fun. jennifer showed them out to throw a shotput from her elementary school memories. i learned exactly what a pea coat is, and attempted to grasp the point of the button on the inside. Kristin claimed that her mom can skip rocks better than me, but i doubt it.
anyway, earlier in the day we had Hall Bible Study, which was pretty sweet and led by Joel Boerckel, the greatest roomate i will ever have next year. right before that was practice with Buddy and Neuch. that was wonderifical, so fun, and exciting. i really enjoy playing drumset with those guys. we had two groups of people come in while we were practicing and listen to us, so that was kind of neat. we need to have a small show for just friends that will be supportive and not walk out on us. we're starting to get somewhere and actually sound somewhat good. we just need a bass player. if you know one...email me, and i'll talk to him/her.
before that was the expedition to Taco Bell on the way home from church. yes, i finally gave in and ate Taco Bell. and i didn't think it was that bad. isn't it sad? i haven't had good mexican food in a while that i thought that Taco Bell wasn't bad. anyway...i bought lunch for myself, JustinBarry JustinBarry and Jordave (the more Jordan-ish part). we got 10 tacos, a Fiesta Burrito, and a Steak Quesadilla for under $10. oh boy, we just realized that they have $0.40 tacos on Sunday.

Saturday::
i had people over Saturday night. Jenna, Katie, Andrea, Kristin, Jennifer, and Libby came over and we watched Remember the Titans

when they came over, i was playing guitar with Walking Joe, and they wanted me to play for them for a bit...that was fun...i like playing for people, but i need to learn how to sing and play to truely rock the world. i spent a good portion of the afternoon cleaning my room. i watched most of the Eh-Hawks (half Eh Team, half Blackhawks) frisbee games at the tournament they were playing it. i really really really really really really really really wanted to play with them. it hurt my self to just stand on the side (or in the batting cage/nets and cheer instead of playing. i did get to play with them a bunch in between games. they almost won, and they ended in what should have been called a tie for first place.
right before i started watching, i was helping out with the American Cancer Society benefit 3-on-3 basketball tournament (put on by Adelphikos). that went well, and i got a t-shirt out of it. i'm not sure if i was supposed to pay for it. probably. oh well.
i got 2 hours later than i wanted.

Friday::
we went over to Libby's room. we didn't really do anything, but it was somhow fun. before that we watched Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers at Crawford Auditorium. ...what a great movie. certainly the best ever made.
earlier, we didn't have Salt Co. that was a major bummer, and i was sad.

okay, that's enough. it's 2:28am and i'm very tired. i also have an 8am class, which i cannot skip anymore.

question::
[yes, this is now an unanswered question again] who will i take to the ADEL formal?
answer::
eh...you'll find out soon enough
