THE HOKEY POKEY:: is that what it's really all about?
i sure hope so.

complaining::
anyway, today our Sears store got a visit from the president of Sears...which is the reason why i haven't posted anything worth reading in a while. actually...well, maybe i haven't posted anything worth reading ever, but in that case it would be a different reason. or something. ... ...right. anyway, moving on.

for the last few weeks, our store has been preparing for the visit from the president. it's been crazy hectic, and i've put in many overtime hours. (which is nice...but also stinks) on Tuesday, Nick Kunkle started working for us. he had a horrible first day. the truck that came on Tuesday was the biggest load we've ever had, and most of it was not on pallets, meaning that we had to manually drag it off the truck for the most part. also, it was like 90-somethin-freakin-degrees outside with some crazy-go-nuts humidity, and it was way too stinkin hot. Nick and i were both dehydrated and tired, there were no drinks in the stock room refridgerator, and we couldn't go anywhere to get a drink until we had finished unloading the truck. man...that was hard stuff. and then after we closed at 6pm, i went home, ate, and went to bed. my boss called me about 9pm (because i had forgotten that i had volunteered to help ready the store for our visit), and i went back and worked until after midnight. wow. too much work.

okay, enough complaining::
so our visit came today. the president lady came in, shook my hand, we took a picture for the chamber of commerce, and then walked around the store and talked to Mr. Carroll and Mr. North. she did not ask me or any one else about how to use the blue book, how to sell maintainance agreements, or do any of those other horrible things i was told she would do. what a nice lady. she was impressed with the store, so: we win. or...get to keep playing. or something.

my little brother, Michael (who's 8 years old) broke both of his arms on Saturday. he was riding on a zip-line at a party thing the church was having, and it jerked him at the end and he fell off. he tried to catch himself on the way down and ended up breaking both arms. his right radius is broken above the wrist, and his left radius is broken right at the elbow joint. luckily his left arm is broken near his growth plates, which should speed up the healing, and he should be out of his splint on that arm in three weeks. his right arm will take more like six weeks to heal, but at least he's got a groovy swimmable cast, so he doesn't have to stay out of the pools for all of the summer. YAY!
i signed his cast first. i wrote:
"YOU ROCK -- Bryan"
i think Nick was second. he wrote:
"DITTO -- Nick"
he's taking it amazingly well, i think. he's a trooper, definitely.

okay, i don't have a clue where my family is. they're usually home when i get home from work...but alas, they are not here. well, the guys who are putting siding on our house are here. maybe they can be my family. i hope one of them cooks dinner. i'm going upstairs to play videogames. bye.

Ainsley:: call me, i miss you

Dad:: call me, i miss you (and can't wait to go to Colorado!!!). hmm...you don't read this do you. well, call me anyway. ...or...maybe since you don't read this... uh..i'll call you.
